Project Description

Parat is an innovative social card game developed in the first semester to make collaborative cooking more enjoyable and balanced. The core Cooking Cards represent complete recipes, broken down into clear steps, while Action Cards help distribute tasks and encourage cooperation. The game supports a fair division of cooking duties and motivates groups to cook together without confusion about who does what and when.

Role & Scope:

This project was developed as a team effort during a two week design sprint in the first semester, with shared responsibility for the conceptual development.

Research / Methods

The project was grounded in observing the real challenges that occur during collaborative cooking, such as unclear task division, timing conflicts, and coordination issues. Using these insights, I translated cooking processes into structured, card-based steps that make roles and actions easier to share. Building on this foundation, I refined the game through iterative playtests, using feedback to adjust the flow of interaction and ensure that the card system genuinely supports smoother, more enjoyable teamwork in the kitchen.
